Management practices


Use of resistant varieties


Improved Samba Mahsuri (RP Bio 226), Ajaya and Swarna.

Cultural practices


Use of nitrogen into 3 - 4 split doses.

Add 15 - 20 kgs of potash to reduce the disease intensity.

Avoid irrigation of drainage water from the infected field.

Destruction of weeds and collateral hosts on the field bunds.
